Shared Planet: Harmonizing Humanity and Wildlife featuring Yvette Ayala

In the early days of March 2020, as the world grappled with an unfolding global crisis, life—in its most raw and beautiful form—persisted against the backdrop of chaos. On March 27th, Bylie gave birth to her daughter, Ashely. In the instinctive manner of a protective mother, Bylie secluded herself with her newborn, far from any perceived threats. Yet, unbeknownst to her, a different kind of danger loomed, a threat not just to them but to their very habitat.

The Delta was undergoing drastic changes. The water levels fluctuated wildly, transforming the landscape and putting its inhabitants at risk. Bylie and her newborn were trapped.

The mission: to airlift Bylie and Ashely to safer grounds. The tool for this formidable task? A Black Hawk helicopter—the only helicopter capable of transporting the massive weight of an adult rhino.

The operation would not be cheap or straightforward. It required nearly $60,000 to mobilize a specialized team. The question that hung in the air was as heavy as the load the helicopter would bear: Could such a daring rescue be accomplished?

Meet Yvette Ayala, the founder and visionary of Reclaimed Earth Wildlife, a nonprofit dedicated to the conservation of endangered wildlife. Raised in Florida by immigrant parents, Yvette was guided by their aspirations to pursue a law degree. However, her own dreams lay beyond the courtroom—Africa beckoned. Compelled by a deep calling, Yvette established Reclaimed Earth Wildlife.

Yvette joins Raise Nation Radio to take us on a journey through the organization’s vital projects, highlighting the surprising range of endangered species, including giraffes. She details remarkable survival stories including Bylie and Ashely’s rescue. Tune in as Yvette shares how passion, courage, and determination can forge a legacy of environmental stewardship and wildlife protection.
