A New Garden Gate
Posted by sunrise5 on Dec 16, 2008
The students and families at Sunrise School of Miami received, what can only be called a gift from the head, heart and hands, a new garden gate from the 10th grade students at the Shining Mountain Waldorf School in Colorado.

This group of 10th graders designed, and performed all of the metal working to build and assemble the gate. They wanted to design a gate that held the feel of South Florida - and their vision - the sun, water and fish.

Metal working is a class that is conducted in a Waldorf High School and this gate was a class project - one that reflects beauty, care and a lot of love.

The gate was installed by a group of our school dad's (Al Cazzoli, Michael Saenz, and Jim Russell) over a weekend and the reaction by the students the following Monday was priceless!

Thank you to these fathers and most importantly - a warm THANK YOU goes out to the 10th graders at Shining Mountain Waldorf School!
