Hi! My husband and I returned from Ethiopia in March 08 with our beautiful baby boy Marley. While there we were able to visit AHOPE Ethiopia. It has become a cause very close to my heart and I know we will be returning to Ethiopia and AHOPE in the future.
I hope to raise funds to help support these beautiful children who have been orphaned because of their HIV+ status. Living in Ethiopia is nothing that most Americans could ever imagine, although a beatiful country with wonderful people, the realities and conditions of life there are extrmemly harsh. The people do not have much and the utilize everything they have. When a family member is infected with HIV, it is nearly impossible to provide the proper care due to the cost. AHOPE is an orphanage who cares not only those children who have been relenquished, but also children who still family but who are unable to care for the child. AHOPE for Children is one of two organizations who fund AHOPE Ethiopia. AHOPE for Children is a fabulous organization that is growing to help those in need!
