As a college student affairs professional, Adult Girl Scout, and member of the AAUW, NASPA and ACPA, I have had a long interest in developing leaders, in general, and women leaders in particular. I have worked as a college administrator and academic counselor for adult undergraduate and graduate students. Most recently I have been an associate professor in two master degree programs for student affairs counseling or adult/higher education leadership programs. Championing raising funds for college women to participate in this important leadership conference is an extension of my commitment to the development of tomorrow's postsecondary education leaders. On the personal side, my family and I recently relocated from WV to TX. I am married to a senior college housing administrator; we are parents of an Ambassador Girl Scout teenager, and physicist son pursuing his graduate degree in electrical engineering. Both my husband and I were first-generation college graduates whose own leadership development opportunities over the years have shaped us into the community conscientious citizens we are today.
