Mission: Equipping and empowering homeless teens and young adults to exit street life. Where: Indianapolis and the surrounding area. Who we serve: Regarding the youth we serve, a general rule of thumb is this: they are experiencing barriers to safe, reliable housing. Our youth (ages 14-24) are classified as “street youth”. This term includes homeless, runaway and throwaway youth (those denied housing by their families) in Indianapolis and surrounding areas. If they are not directly on the streets, where they reside is often temporary and frequently not safe. The places they stay reflect both their desperate need and their ingenuity to survive. These include: abandoned houses, under bridges, in a car or shelter, “couch surfing” based on the kindness of others, or even with a relative who has agreed to allow them to reside with them on a short-term basis. How we serve youth: Our greatest focus on serving youth is to meet them where they are, walking beside them to achieve their personal goals of transformation for life stability. This is done by addressing the whole person, as we have found that their physical, emotional and spiritual needs are interconnected. We desire to assist youth in becoming successful, independent members of their communities, sharing with them the love of Christ as we venture together to accomplish this goal. The services we use to assist our youth include:- Intensive Case Management- School-based services within area high schools (G.O.A.L Program)- Drop-In Center- Food and Clothing pantries- Shower and Laundry Services- Street Outreach - Educational and Vocational Assistance- Life Skill Development- Bible Studies- 24 hour crisis line
