People's Village the home of Laini Kuumba Ngoma Troupe and Ballet Jahfena Youth Ensemble is in the process of planning the reopening of the Center for 2011 in the city of New Orleans. Since 2005 Hurricane Katrina "People's Village" has been closed down with no means to reopen until now. We will keep you posted as thing continue to develop and grow in the direction of location, funding and sponsors continues to show interest in the rebuild process.
