Educational Mentoring through the Arts & Humanities (EMTAH)'s News

EMTAH News Update!
Posted by maryrossi on Nov 22, 2008

We have some great news to share:

EMTAH has new teaching space!

The Chester County Family Academy and the YMCA of the Brandywine Valley have both graciously made teaching space available to EMTAH. EMTAH will be teaching on site at the Academy and at the Y’s Police Athletic League program building on Market Street.

EMTAH has 2 new teachers!

Ø  Dawn Mehan, a professional African dancer, will be teaching small groups of young people and adults;

Ø  Delbert Boyer, the lead guitarist with the jazz group Aniya, will be teaching guitar to all ages.

Both are experienced – in their craft, as professional artists, and as teachers – and are currently training in EMTAH’s innovative teaching approach. Lessons, anyone?

 A New Way for you to Give Underserved Young People the Chance to Succeed!

Since you're here on their site, you already know about EMTAH's new fundraising tool that lets you give to EMTAH’s Scholarship Fund every time you shop – at no cost to you! With so many of us shopping online now, this is a wonderful way to make sure students who need a little assistance will be able to study.

We urge you to take advantage of this tool. We all need to come together in these tough times, to take care of one another. We THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
