Dreamchaser Horse Rescue started out saving and facilitating adoptions for Premarin mares and foals in 2001.  Our biggest rescue was of 14 foals, 4 pregnant mares, and 10 feedlot mares in 2006.  All but 3 foals have been adopted, and the four pregnant mares remain here in our accredited American Sanctuary.  The 10 feedlot mares are also in their new homes. Since 2006, we have primarily rescued local animals from abuse, neglect, and abandonment.  We also rescue from feedlots, where the next step is the slaughter truck.  Some of these animals need extensive rehabilitation before they can be placed in adoptive homes, and we specialize in gentling wild horses.  We generally support a horse for one year before we can place it for adoption, as we want to have the greatest chance for success for both the horse and the adopter. We are a 501(c)3, registered public charity, and we rely on donations to continue our mission.  We are currently supporting 60 horses, 25 goats and sheep, 7 rescue dogs, 11 rescue cats, assorted birds, ducks, and chickens. PLEASE FIND IT IN YOUR HEARTS TO HELP SUPPORT THESE LOVING AND DESERVING ANIMALS!
