We are a brain injury advocacy, information and referral, and peer support non-profit agency operated for and by survivors of acquired brain injuries. These injuries arise from such causes as trauma (TBI), brain illness, stroke and tumor. We are encouraging survivor self and collective advocacy to benefit our community. We are promoting a public policy agenda both nationally and internationally. We are interested in policy that will have a positive impact on day-to-day living for members of our survivor community. We also have published some program recommendations and policy statements to help medical and other service providers and the general public to understand our concerns, needs and requirements. Our main Internet advocacy forum is entitled Survivor Acquired Brain Injury (SABI). SABI is for Survivors only. We also sponsor the FEASIBLE advocacy board on-line, which accepts participation by both survivors and family caregivers. Please visit our website for more information.
